Q. How long have you trained as a dancer, what styles are you trained in, and what is your favorite style of dance?
A. I’ve been in ballet since the age of five, jazz since the age of eleven, and I began contemporary and tap two years ago.
Q. How long have you danced with the Fargo Moorhead Ballet company? What is your favorite thing about being in the company?
A. This is my fourth year in the Fargo Moorhead Ballet Company. My favorite thing about being in the company is the excellent training you receive as well as participating in the behind-the-scenes shenanigins that go on during rehearsal.
Q. What activities do you engage in outside of dance?
A. I enjoy singing and writing outside of school. I am a part of Belle Orso Voci, my school’s select choral ensemble, and I am editor for the school paper. I’m also the dance student leader for our school musical. I also enjoy watching the film the Hunger Games or having dance parties in my basement by myself.
Q. What do you look most forward too in the 2012-2013 FM Ballet Season?
A. I look forward to improving my technique as well as enjoying quality time with the eccentric people in FMB.
Q. What is something quirky about yourself that you would like to share with us?
A. As far as quirky/interesting facts about me, I lived in Peru when I was three and was
Bi-lingual until I moved back to America and lost it all. One weekend, I watched Pirates of the Caribbean six times in a row just because I loved it so much. Whenever I’m having a bad day, I dance to “get out of your mind” by Lil Jon and normally all my bad feelings go away. My favorite snack is anything with humus. Crime shows are my favorite and I’ve seen every Criminal Minds episode at least once. I think that you can find valuable life lessons anywhere- even on Spongebob.
